Camping at Lake Allatoona
There are many options available if you would like to camp out along the shores of Lake Allatoona. The state of Georgia has one its premier parks here (Red Top Mountain State Park) and there are a number of US Army Corp of Engineers campgrounds.
You can see where each campground is located from the map below. Pointing your mouse at any of the tent symbols on the map will bring up the name of the campground, which you can then click on to find out more information about that campground. You can also use the Lake Allatoona campsite table below the map to see the complete list of the campground facilities.
The park pages that the links lead to contain information about camping, of course, but they also provide details about fees, camping reservations, park rules, the times of the year the park is open, if there is a boat launch, driving directions, and whatever else you might need to know.
All the campground are located along the shores of Lake Allatoona and offer: camping, a boat launch, grills and picnic tables, hookups for RV's, water, bathrooms and showers, an RV dump station, and laundry facilities. The campgrounds charge fees (explained in the pages for each area) for using their facilities.
